Located at the foot of Togari Ski Resort, in the center of Togari Onsen Town. The approach to the temple is lined by 200-year-old cryptomeria trees, while the grounds have been planted with 10,000 hydrangeas, representing 20 species and 800 varieties—a summer feature of Togari. The grave of Noriyoshi Kato, the writer and backpacker who was one of the leaders of establishing the Shin-etsu Trail, is here.
